In this article we will show and describe the steps to create a customer and login account for your customers.
Create Customer Groups The main porpuse of creating customer groups is to distinguish the different type of clients you may have. The groups may be different types . like grouping the customers, staff users, promotional users etc. Other way of grouping may be based on territory they are located. Each company may create groups based on their sales and the operational ways.
Create Customer and Login Account Customer and login accounts are created in a single window, by filling the details for customer and credentials to login. Below we will explain all the fields needed to be filled in. To create the customer go to "Customers" and click on "Create". Groups - A drop down list will be shown with the groups created already. Select the one you want to associate the customer. First name - Customer first name. Last name - Customer Last Name. Email - Customer email. It should be unique. The system will not allow you to create clients with emails used already. Address - Customer Address (may be detailed). City - Customer City. Country - Customer Country. A drop down list will be shown from which you can choose. Telephone - Customer phone number. May include prefix too. Username - unique value for each customer. System will not allow duplicates. Username does not accept capital letters. Password - minimum of 4 characters. Chanel Stream Source - Select from drop down list the stream source from where customer should receive content. VOD Stream Source - Select from drop down list the stream source from where customer should receive content. PIN - PIN is used for the users to access the content which will be protected with password only. Activity Time Out - Determines after how many seconds of inactivity the user will be redirected to main menu. Timezone - Select user timezone based on the location. Get Messages - Enable to allow user to receive push messages sent from the management system. Receive ADS - Enable to allow user to receive push messages sent from the management system. Show Adult Content - Enable to allow user to see the adult content on the end user application. Auto Timezone - Enable allow the application receive the timezone from the network provider. Account Locked - Disable to allow the user to login, if enabled user will be forced logged out and won't have access to login. Is tester - Enable to allow the user receive updates of the applications which will be targeted only for testers.
Click on Submit and the user will be created. If you see errors after clicking 'Submit' means that one of the fields has not been satisfied with the information filled in or that values for username and email address are duplicates.
